Thats not all they did but I dont really want to go into it if you understand.

This is why im questioning it because I find it hard to believe they can predict it!

I understood that they can place stitches in a weak cervix. Whatever you decide with regard to this pregnancy, it is something to look into for future options.

Im really considering a second opinion but cant really go to the same practice because i dont want to seem unaprreciative of the advice already if you get me...

Although this isn't what you were asking, never be afraid to go to the same practise. Many doctors are fine with, and I've known some to recommended that if you are that unsure, to seek a second opinion, or if your like me, a third and a fourth and so on ;). You have the right to a second opinion and your practise wont see you as unappriciative - or if they do then it's their problem, and wouldn't be the best medical establishment

when i had my anxiety problems i went back to the same place loads of times
the first doctor i saw basically told me to chill out and that they couldn't offer anything as the youth councelling place was full and was only for 'serious' cases - which wasn't much help, then went back to the same place but a different doctor and he prescribed me beta-blockers and put me on a waiting list to see a specialist in anxiety.
just goes to show....they see so many people every day so they probably won't even realise

ballerina makes a good point, they see loads of patients, plus they probably wouldnt know if you went to see another doc, they probably dont sit around together discussing who they've seen.

when its something as important as this if you want a second opinion make sure you get it. or you could ask to be referred to the early pregnancy unit at the hospital, they would be able to give you a scan.
