i'd be at the front, but Dillinger Escape Plan are supporting and they are 3000 more times heavier that System. Therefore, i am forced to go at the side <IMG SRC="frown.gif" border="0" ALT="icon">

I went to system of a Down on Friday and it was amazing but the band are a load of tossers! This is the letter I sent to Kerrang:

    Subject: Down with the system!

The date was Friday 22nd March and I'd just witnessed one of the greatest gigs of the year and so I wanted to meet System Of A Down outside the tourbus to get their autographs; as I usually do after every gig. The band came out one by one, escorted by two of their own security guards. They said that they wanted to freshen up on the bus and they would be right back out to sign stuff. Approximately 5 minutes later they drove off on the bus without signing a single autograph.

I tried again before they went onstage the following night. There were 9 of us waiting to hopefully get their autographs. The time was about 8.30pm and a couple of the fans had been waiting since 2pm. Again they refused to sign ANYTHING, not even acknowledge the 9 of us. They even closed off the street at the end of the gig so the fans couldn't even see the band.

Is this any way for a band to treat their fans? System of a down should take a leaf out of Andrew WK's book who generously spent an hour of his own time talking to the fans, talking to fans friends on their mobile phones, signing autographs, recording voicemail messages and even sent me an email... we would have been happy with 5 minutes of System Of A Downs time. I just hope system of a down NEVER come back to england for a headline tour because they don't deserve to be where they are.
