I went to the free Volcano Festival on Saturday which was held on Hackney Marshes, only about 8000 turned up. It wasn't very good as the had crap bands on. There were two rave marquees there though so it wasn't that bad.
A couple of years ago the TUC used to put on good free festivals in London. I went ot a really good one in Victoria park that they put on in 97 which was really good and had the Specials on stage as well and had two music stages.
