telling stories like "the only reason 2 poeple of same sex like eachother is cause one was molested and the other was addicted to gay porn"

scaring people into religion = disgrace - wouldn't expect anything less from across the pond though

    Nice generalisation there.

I'm sure if you looked hard enough you could find some fairly wierd opinions in Churches here too.

yup i know, i've never heard of that level of it happening here though - i've heard inuendo suggesting things like that, but never blatantly made up stories, well other than the daily mail/express

tbh - probably happens in most evangelical churches, however though this church almost entirely focuses recruitment at tihs time of year at schools it seems to be

The problem is also the big size of America, if you pulled together all the crap/stupid/nasty/etc. stories about people and government from the whole EU I'm sure it would be comparable with the US.

Yes, some Americans are stupid/horrid/etc. but then if you take a cross section of any people they will be the same.

Its just a shame that the wierdo's in the US let the rest of them down, and of course they have such terrible taste in governments.

If the above story doesn't qualify as child abuse, what does?

The British evangelicals can be just as bad- the nut job Christian school down the street took the Government to court for banning corporal punishment, for instance.

Is that the one sponsored by the Stagecoach bloke?

I have to get a Stagecoach in a bit.......... :impissed:

Nah, this was just a small nutjob Christian school down the road.

Nutjob Souter tends to spend his money on anyti-homosexual organisations, rather than nutjob schools. Although when we get Acdemies in nutjob Souter will be educating our children.

    Yee-haw!

    Whatever.

I suppose it makes it easier for people such as yourself to feel superior if you can just say "gee whizz, look at those yee-haw retarded yankees!". It has no factual basis, but lets not let that get in the way, eh?

TBH, I laugh at anyone who is like this. If you take a situation like that, it happens in other places - but it is rather common in the US as far as I can tell from reports, such as this.

I mean, an old Woman who pays her last few dollars sho she thinks she "won't burn in hell"... it makes me sad. It happens elsewhere - in some countries it sadly doesn't get reported, but the thing that gets me - The US is off fighting these terrible Islamics - it has a Christian problem such as this in its own home ground - shouldn't this be solved first before they can tell others what to do?

the fact that it's america is beside the point.. wherever it was happening, it would be very, very wrong

Its all religious scare-mongering to keep people beleiving. Most religions will have stories such as these to tell people that any-way of life against the holy teaching is wrong. Karl Marx did say that "Religion is the opimum of the masses"

I would say that was true for most main religions. One can hardly state that about Bhuddism. Did I spell that right?
