C'mon peoples which ones yer favorite?

I'm quite partial to Breakfast Club, Weird Science, Welcome Home Roxy Carmichael (has Winona Ryder in it), but of course the best one is Ferris Beullers Day Off.

Rock on,

Repo Man, a classic of wierd 80's films

Tremors, one of my favourite films of all time, even though it ain't really that good. Every second line is "God damn sonovabitch!! Excuse my French ma'am"

Terminator, Alien, The Thing, the 80's were good for horror/sci-fi flicks.

Not a lot of people liked it but I thought The Abyss (1989) was a quality film!

Oh, cool. So many quality films. I could watch Tremors over and over again. I have The Breakfast Club and Ferris Beuller on video, bien sur!

Was Blade Runner the 80's? I never really pay attention to dates. They just don't make sci-fi like they used to.

    Come on, how come no one mentioned Ghostbusters or Beverley Hills Cop??!! classics. Hahahahaha!! <IMG alt="image" SRC="http://www.thesite.org/ubb/biggrin.gif"&gt;

    Spaceballs.
    Innerspace.
    Indiana Jones.
Top Gun - surely the most macho movie ever?
The Goonies! (I so wanted to be a Goonie when I was wee).
    Gremlins.
    Back to the Future.
    E.T.
Batteries Not Included (you cried too, own up <IMG alt="image" SRC="http://www.thesite.org/ubb/wink.gif">)

    still thinking...

If she was a man, she'd need tissues!

How could I forget all those classics of cinematic history??

Especially Platoon, Indy Jones and Ghostbusters. Wasn't Apocalypse Now an 80's flick too??

What about those Pryor/Wilder films, like Trading Places, See No Evil etc, were they 80's??

Sorry to interupt Kaz & Lord O Little.

One of my favourites has to be The Lost Boys (Im sure it was released in the 80's). Back to the Future and Teen Wolf - I had a major crush on Michael J Fox (not with all the hair though!)

I'll let you two carry on now!

    STOP!!

Just rememberd some more:- Footloose, St Elmo's Fire, Pretty in Pink, Desperatley Seeking Susan and Adventures in Baby sitting. They were all pretty good.

    CARRY ON

Must've been messy at the cinema.

    <IMG alt="image" SRC="http://www.thesite.org/ubb/biggrin.gif"&gt;

You could probably make good money bottling and selling it over the Net, maybe even a live webcam feed as well, to show the whole production process. It's a winner babe!!

I too have a copy of Tranformers;- The Movie. Truly a cinematic masterpiece with it's blend of fast-paced, epilepsy-inducing animation and cheesy 80's electro-rock soundtrack.

Damn... I spent ages trying how to spell that!

Ultra Magnus was that transporter thing and you're right about him. Should have stayed dead the movie.

Not being sexist or nothing but wasn't that female transformer Ariel useless or what?

    "Transformers... more than meets the eye" Heh! <IMG alt="image" SRC="http://www.thesite.org/ubb/biggrin.gif"&gt;

What about Labyrinth! I loved this film. I even brought it off the net for £6.49!

You remind me of the babe
    What babe?
    The babe with the power
    What power?
    The power of voodoo
    Who do?
    You do!
    Do what?
    Remind me of the babe!

    Classic!!

    *~*breaks into song*~*

You remind me of the babe
What babe? the babe with the power
    What power? power of voodoo
    Who do? you do
Do what? remind me of the babe

I saw my baby, crying hard as babe could cry
    What could I do?
    My baby's love had gone
    And left my baby blue
    Nobody knew:

What kind of magic spell to use?
    Slime and snails
    Or puppy dogs' tails
    Thunder or lightning
    Then baby said
Dance magic, dance (dance magic, dance)
Dance magic, dance (dance magic, dance)
Put that baby spell on me
Jump magic, jump (jump magic, jump)
Jump magic, jump (jump magic, jump)
Put that magic jump on me
Slap that baby, make him free

I saw my baby, trying hard as babe could try
    What could I do?
    My baby's fun had gone
    And left my baby blue
    Nobody knew

    Dance magic, dance
    Dance magic, dance
Put that baby spell on me
    Jump magic, jump
    Jump magic, jump
Put that magic jump on me
Slap that baby make him free
Dance magic, dance (dance magic, dance)
Dance magic, dance (dance magic, dance)
Dance magic, dance (dance magic, dance)
Dance magic, dance (dance magic, dance)
Jump magic, jump (jump magic, jump)
    Jump magic, jump
Put that magic jump on me
    Slap that baby

Dance magic, dance (dance magic, dance)
Dance magic, dance (dance magic, dance)
    Dance magic, dance
Slap that slap that baby make him free
Dance magic, dance (dance magic, dance)!!!
