Living in a squat

I haven't stayed in one but I almost did. I stayed in a dorm room instead. I've been to one, though. And a huge amount of my friends are squatters. One of my friends works with Homes Not Jails, they take over abandoned houses, squat in them, fix them up, try to get rights to the building, and then let homeless families stay in them. He almost got arrested a couple days ago for it, but was out of the building doing a banner hang when the cops came.

yeah just after leaving school, got kicked out of home, for smoking a joint down the road, strict parents.
aboslutly mind blowing the people I met and the storys they told about how they got there, made me stop to think. also lived on a boat still know the bloke whoose boat it is. stayed with an old hermit just a few hundred meters from houses that was mad his wife left him during the war and the humiliation of made him live alone in the woods till he died.
also lived in a hole in the ground for three months watching bird nests, that was part of my traing though.
