Are you specifically in the market for an electro-accoustic or will you consider a full on electric?

Also, looking at brand new or possibly going to consider second hand, like ebay?

I've never really heard of wesley before, but it looks like a 'Stagg' type company.

Here's some reviews of their kit on Harmony Central though...

Oooh, you're pricing yourself a little out of the market with £200.

I'm sure you could pick up a nice Epiphone Les Paul or a Telecaster from eBay but I wouldn't bet on it. What kind of stuff do you play?

I just stuck £200 as a max and ending within the next hour into the search criteria on ebay and no epiphone stuff came up :banghead:

Oh, apart from an epiphone tshirt.

However, bumping up the budget to £250 can get you this Epiphone SG:

Nice Epiphone Dot semi-hollow for £199 here
Or a nice Epi SG here for £217
This LP is a little beat up but it's only £169 here.

To be honest, if £200 is your max, Telecasters are probably out despite the fact that I love mine to bits. Don't bother with the cheaper Squire guitars as they are a pile of cack. Hey, I could do you a good deal on my 100W Marshall amp!

Oh Rich-E, have you seen that Epiphone have finally put out a White Thunderbird? Look on ebay under the international sellers - am gonna get mine from Germany for about £240 plus whatever the postage is. It's so mine. It's so me.

Oh wow, just saw that on there, looks pretty cool! I thought about getting a Thunderbird once, probably the Nicky Sixx sig one, but never really got around to it. I'll stick to my musicman for the time being, think theres some dual humbucker models coming out soon :D

if you buy cheap, you buy twice. in my experience, it is best to start with a medium priced guitar.

£200 is not much if you want to avoid rubbish. However, it may be worth your while finding a seller that knows nothing about guitars. I got my Epi LP Standard and a 30W Marshall for £130.

I played on a very nice Ibanez Artcore Jazz box the other week and at £268 and whatever they slap on for postage it's not too bad. It was really nice to play, almost intuitive. It seems like it could handle a few different sounds too what with the twin humbuckers and semi-hollow.

'm loving my brother's Casino at the minute. Now that's a nice guitar.

Well I should be getting my Alpine White Epi Thunderbird in the next week. The thing is, it'll cost me anything up to £350 inc. postage if I get it from the UK, but £255 if I get it shipped from Germany. Go figure...

    I say, DAS IST GUT!

You can pick up a few decent guitars on ebay if you really search, yeah maybe second hand, but good manufacturers though.

I'll find out on Monday if i've just expanded my bass collection again, due to ebay... :nervous:

Personally I think if £250-300 is your max, stick to Epiphone. They're not the best but by God are they reliable and the scope for upgrading/customisation is excellent.
