You might be able to take part in some environmental things (try www.btcv.org.uk)and I know that the pdsa (who help look after pets) have a special young people's section (www.pdsa.org.uk). There's also www.do-it.org.uk where you can search a database of opportunities. It might just be a question of making a few contacts and seeing what opens up... Be persistent! <IMG alt="image" SRC="smile.gif" border="0">

http://www.do-it.org.uk is a good start as has already been said. Might be worth trying the Volunteer Bureau search on the left hand menu and phoning up your local one as in my experience they are usually fairly helpful and they may be able to talk through the sorts of things you want to do.

What sort of thing is it you are interesting in helping with anyhow?

:p I've taken a course through my school which has "trained" me to be a volunteer, I guess. THe course was crap but at least I get to do my volunteering stuff now. I volunteer at a local preschool now, I have lots of fun and help out a fair bit.
Does your school have anything like that?
