I may have just landed myself my dream job as the sales manager for a new e-recruitment company.

However, the MD of the company that may hire me has asked me to do a presentation on Monday to get a feel for how much I know about the business and my ideas on how to sell his product. If ANYONE knows anything about this or where I can get info to help, please post a reply. I know this is pretty specific, so I'm not expecting miricles.

The company is being set up, due to go online in Feb. It is an online recruitment service, whereby we will provide psychometric tests (developed by our own psychologist), that can be completed with real time limits online, and then the results communicated back to the respondent, and filtered to highlight ideal candidates for the employer. This cuts costs and time-to-hire for the employer. It will be specifically aimed at companies which need to recruit large number of personnel, 100 upwards, at once. (eg. graduate recruitment by large companies like P&G). Our IT developers can incorporate this into a large company's own website, or for smaller companies, set them up a page on our website, but still in their colours/logos etc.

I have to act as though my presentation is to a potential client, and I have to convince them that they will benefit from our service.

Powerpoint presentations aren't a problem for me, I've done loads. But to be honest, I have no sales experience and this is a hard area to research.

Any input is welcome: your feelings on the subject, or just to wish me good luck!!

Thanx!

    Well done Kaz!!

Sorry I can't help though, I know as much about that as I do about biscuit manufacturing in the 1920-1925 period in the area of Hull.

I still have no idea what's happening (ggrrrr!) I phoned my nearly-boss this morning but everything still isn't finalised.

I decided to go to work and quit my present job anyway. Even if this sales thing doesn't work out I can find something else. This job is so shit and it's really getting me down.

    So this is my last day!!!!!! <IMG alt="image" SRC="http://www.thesite.org/ubb/biggrin.gif"> <IMG alt="image" SRC="http://www.thesite.org/ubb/biggrin.gif"> <IMG alt="image" SRC="http://www.thesite.org/ubb/biggrin.gif">

The only bummer is that I'll no longer be able to spend time on The Site. I have to pay for access at home and I'm not exactly flush at the mo. <IMG alt="image" SRC="http://www.thesite.org/ubb/frown.gif"> bummer. B4 Whowhere hunts me down, I'm not leaving or anything. Just will have to learn to b a little more brief, ha ha.

LoL, you're a sweetheart, thanx. I was in a bit of a panic when I posted that, but now I have another night to work on it, it'll be OK. I'll be thinking of you, sacrificed at the evil-office altar, keep the rebellion alive! xxx.

Ah well Kaz, if it's getting you down then you should leave, no point being pissed off for the majority of every weekday.

Keep in contact though, a new job with unlimited Net access has got to be your next criteria!!

    Good luck!!
