a little advice / reassurance needed

Former MemberFormer Member Posts: 1,876,323 The Mix Honorary Guru
okay, my bf fingered me about one week ago and bcoz i was drunk i didnt ask him wether he had anything on his hands. The next morning I asked him and he promised me he was absolutely 100% positive that he hadnt. We've done it since then, but im petrified that i could b pregnant as i was ovulating at the time- my periods are normally late anyway so do i have any reason 2 b worried if im quite late? do i have any reason 2 think that im pregnant? Luv me x

1st off , did you use protection?
because if you didnt there is always a chance that you could be pregnant.

How on earth do you use protection when being fingered deeby? Silly boyo.

Very unlikely you'll be pregnant, wait and see how late your period is and if it's REALLY late, go take a test.

Hiya, it's Kazooz.
Guess what, you and me are in the same situation. If your boyfriend said he didn't have anything on his hands, if you trust him you should believe him. When you had sex were you using any protection? If you were then I wouldn't be worried, if not then maybe you should talk to someone or go see your GP. It may be embarrassing but surely you'd rather a little embarrassment than being pregnant. Don't panic, just keep calm and remember we all make the odd mistake. Loads of luv, Kazooz. xx

But she said 'We've done it since then'. I am guessing she means she has had sex since then rather than she has let him finger her again. And if it was unprotected sex she could be pregnant.

I would of done that quote thing but I don't know how. Once again I have proved just how retarded I am

She was referring to being fingered, not to having sex.

Well, at least on the basic rules of English grammar, that's what she meant. Else it's just further proof that people on this place need to make themselves more comprehendable.

I re-iterate what has been said earlier? From what? How can we be expected to comment if we don't even know what the hell she's on about?!?

Im gonna wait until my period is quite late, so around...this weekend, and then ill do a test- if its negative ill cry with relief if its positive.. then its not 2 late 2 have an abortion by taking a few pills at a clinic apparently. The only problem is tellin my parents! Does this sound like a rational idea 2 u guys? xxx

*Warning - the following advice may be stupid, irrational, or just plain rude. Feel free to ignore if you are of a nervous disposition or get easily offended*

No, it bloody well doesn't.

What you've succeeded in doing is confusing the hell out of everyone.

Firstly. Explain your situation. Try using some logic, so we can all, even me, follow it.

Secondly. If you're worried about being pregnant, then TAKE THE TEST AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. Sod embarrassment, sod worrying, just DO IT.

Thirdly. I would doubt that an abortion is that simple, either physiologially, or mentally.

Fourthly. Sorry. Just thought I'd explain that.

Can I just say that we've had a rash of girls who think that they may be pregnant. Under circumstances, may I advise you all to take the pregnancy test. GP, FPC, or over the counter, it doesn't matter, but get it done. Then you can worry or not.

End of advice/ranting irrationally.

if u dont agree with what i'm about 2 say then dont listen 2 it!!!

firstly
u shud get a test straight away - a FPC is probably ur best bet & its all confidential so ur parents need not know.

its unlikly u r pregnant but get it checked out ok!

secondly
if u r pregnant u shudn't get an abortion - its murder! a baby has no say in whether its made and u dont have the right 2 say whether it can have a life or not!!!!! also u wont b able 2 live with the fact that u got rid of a baby - the thoughts NEVER go away, they stay until u die - my bro's g/f had an abortion about 1year ago and she still thinks about it - she REGRETS it!!

well there u r..my advice - sorry if i offend n e 1 but i dont believe in abortion at all (unless i was a victim of rape b/c i wudn't b able 2 love the baby as it wud remind me of what happened).

n e way keep posting and dont worry - u probably r not pregnant!!!

good luck!

1. Don't write in text talk, because that last post was mostly text talk, and confusing and headachey.
2. Abortion is an issue. There are no rights or wrongs to it.
3. Abortion is also very personal, and to say that it's murder and you'll always regret it is tantamount to lying. And a good way of aggravating lots of people.
4. If you believe in something as an absolute, then don't give it conditions, i.e. you can't say "Abortion is murder, but I would if..."
5. This is not a flaming. I'm being very nice about it.
6. Welcome to the site, Cassie.
7.

End of rant.

im confused! how is taking a few pills going to give you an abortion? if you mean the morning after pill that isnt an abortion, and you have to take it within 78 hours for it to work!

Former MemberFormer Member Posts: 1,876,323 The Mix Honorary Guru
Actually, there is a pill now that you can take up to the eighth week of pregnancy, but it costs around £240, but that is another option instead of an actual operatioin

ive never heard of that one. how does it work? is it similar to the morning after pill?

The morning after pill work in a different way and does not cause an abortion, it stops a fertilised egg from implanting into the womb.

The information above is correct - there are pills that can cause an abortion if taken early on in the first few weeks of a pregnancy. The same legal issues apply to chemical abortion and surgical abortion.

This thread is actually getting a bit confusing, so I'll close it now.
