Hey all as you might already know I'm trying to get into the film industry. It's not easy being a young, cute and talented wannabe director y'know!
Anyway, the point is- Where could I go for experience? I want to get some under my belt for the future and also I really want to get a head start on things.
Any advice/help/links all much appreciated
Love u all!

Try working as a runner for a production company, it's a bit of a dogsbody job, but if you do your job properly and don't whinge you might make some influential friends.
If there is a society or guild for scriptwriters, try writing a nice letter to the organiser. They might give you some useful pointers, or let you join as a student member (at a discount).
Keep an eye out for any scriptwriting workshops nearby, and keep practicing. Look out for writing and acting courses. Team up with a friend who makes short films and enter some competitions.
Be wary of agencies that use extras - some of them are a total con. Unlike other industries, it IS legal for them to charge you upfront to get you work. The bad ones will only give you one assignment and then don't rehire you. Ask around to find one with a good reputation. They are good for a bit of pocket money, and if you have a striking face or previous acting experience you might get a small walk on part - but it's highly unlikely that you will be 'discovered' in this way, so don't go in to it with high expectations.
get cracking...
