big scary storm

Just had it pass over my area, lightning and thunder, went all proper pitch black

had a short power cut, saw a tree about a mile away from the back of my house get struck by the lightning, scary stuff i tells ye :shocking:

    We had that about 20 min ago. I was stood at the door watching it and nearly fecking shat myself. Yup, was loud :nervous:

    it seems to have gotten progressively worse after it passed over leeds, not that it says anything about that *fair* city :P

    and from what i hear it has been getting worse all the way up, so probly a little more scary than when it was in durham

    Passed overhead here around 3 hours ago,,, propper loud... and i'm in the south... if it's gotten worse towards the north it must be mega scary.

    hmph we have only had a couple of piddlin claps of thunder-not even any rain to clear the air -ok a shower earlier but its still bloody muggy and humid here!

    We got clobbered by it at about 7. It was huge. The whole place went pitch black, and we had loads of pitch lightning and huge loud thunder.

    Apparently the lights went down at GWST's work because of a near-hit.

    I thought it was great. I stood at the back door and watched it with a beer.

    Had one of the nicest sunsets i've ever seen down my end earlier then it went black, started to piss it down and then the lighting came :D, passed over now though.

    I seen a few flashes and heard some rumblign earlier but we need more. Today's been red hot.
