    i'm a scummy northerner. Barnsley - filth. Although living with Kenilworth, Peterborough, Northampton, Finsbury Park, Camberley & Maidstone folk in my time has severely diluted down my vowel riddled slurr.

    Well not nesscesarily.

    Strictly speaking England is a country in its own right so Scotland must be disregarded which will change where the line of half way is.

    Secondly do you do it on population or on land mass?

    The line of the middle of Britain is basically what was Hadrian's Wall. haltwhistle prides itself on being the "centre of Britain".

    Its easy just travel "op North" till all the houses and people have a thick layer of Grim on them, keep on traveling when it stops you know your in Scotland.

    I guess it might be considered ok for those wanting a life on the edge, but the risk is too great for me. If you're not very careful you'll start complaining about pricing, drinking bitter and thieving.
