After reading the name in various places and seeing it mentioned in various music magazines and that, I finally acquired "Illinoise" by this guy. I have no idea what I'm listening to but it is simply amazing. It's like a classical folk fusion thingy.
The closest artists I can think of is Divine Comedy and Bright Eyes, and even then it's so different to them as well.
Has anyone else heard of the guy?
