help me, i want to be an actress.i was born to act and i know i'll never be happy until i am an actress. sometimes i cry myself to sleep at the thought that i will never be one. it might sound stupid but i fell deep down inside me that i should be acting. all i have done on tv is extra parts in eastenders (someone who walks past in the background) and it really upsets me to see all the main actors and actresses acting because i envy them so much. i feel so unhappy and dont know what i can possibly do to make my wish come true. i wantto makemore of myself and would do anything for the oppertunity

    Hi..

Firstly welcome to thesite, odd bunch but helpful and friendly, hope you enjoy your stay.. <IMG alt="image" SRC="http://www.thesite.org/ubb/smile.gif">

Acting, how old are you if you don't mind me asking? You seem to be doing the right thing to start with doing extra parts and stuff, have you applied or thought about going to Art and Performance College?

If you have a dream strong enough as long as you keep up your determination you can succeed, keep with doing the extra parts that way you can build up a portfolio of your work, apply and go to Art and Performance College and perhaps subscribe yourself to something like 'Stage Magazine' as they have details of parts for actors or for pop-group auditions and that..

    Don't give up.. follow your dreams <IMG alt="image" SRC="http://www.thesite.org/ubb/smile.gif">

hello chloe. welcome to thesite. it's a nice place with nice people. stay awhile. <IMG alt="image" SRC="http://www.thesite.org/ubb/smile.gif">

the first thing to do is to stop stressing. getting frustrated and jealous is never going to get you where you want to be.

justin has given you some good advice. getting some formal training is a good way to gain credibility for potential roles. the other thing to do is to consider stage plays or screen writing, anything that will give you a resume (cv?) that will make casting the directors situp and take notice.

also consider retaining representation. reputable agents know where all the auditions are taking place and will help you get into them. the reputable ones usually work for litte fee or free even and take a percentage of whatever they place you in.

the key is patience. work hard and keep chasing the dream and who knows, someday you just might be that star.

good luck, and keep ur chin up. if you get frustrated, you're gonna give up too soon.
