Bradford has actually tarted itself up, since erh the last riot of 2001. It's due another one in 2007 since at the mo they seem to be occurring every six years. Must come to the defence of my University town though, even though the Java cafe has gone and teh Maestro Cello is no longer "the biggest student nightclub in Britian" - it gave you Gareth Gates and well it has arguably the best Photography Museum in the country. And it's actually looking clean and green now - miracles of miracles.

Bradford and Leeds are in the new one ;)

again, bradford and leeds not nearly the worst places here. they're ....colourful, but they're ok. i'd rather live in leeds or bradford or even wakefield than cass or ponte carlo or dewsbury.

I dont see whats wrong with Hayling Island- Next to nothing crime, beautiful big houses, a real posh area with lots of money there

the only problem is the hoards of old biddies

    Agreed. I like Oxford ;(.

Oxford is lovely, except the tourists, students and Cornmarket. And Blackbird Leys

Blackbird Leys is a cunthole of the highest order.

I love where I live. It's 15 minutes from the coast (I can see the sea from the village I live in), 15 minutes from open countryside, 10 minutes from one of Europe's largest shopping centres, 10 minutes from two major cities with all the bars, clubs and entertainment you could ask for (all at reasonable prices) as well as museums, galleries etc. There's also excellent transport links (sea, air, land).

I wouldn't move if you paid me :)

I guess your talking about somewhere in kent? i used to live in kent but i hated it, soul less, populated by telegraph and mail readers, false beyond belief, whiney horrid accents. Okay that might just be north west kent where i am from (specifically gravesend, yuck). I now live in manchester and where kent fails it is a success, except for finding jobs - that is quite hard, but it's honest and real, people don't give a fuck and will tell you what is what. And not a mail reader in sight (well not many).

My ex is from egremont which is right near sellafield, and although sellafield is horrible it is gorgeous where he lives, i was most surprised because all i had an image in my head of was a giant power station, which is there yes, but the countryside is incredible. and it's so quiet (if that's what you like, it's fun for about three days...)

Not sure if anyones posted it already, But my vote goes to Bridgend..... Perfect town for the 'older generation'.... but absolutely nothing here for anyone else.

Best town/city i have been to is Cardiff, with Swansea a close seccond.

The accent is quite funny, it's just the laziest dialect I've ever heard.

I was actually reffering to the rave/dance nights they used to have there... heard of R'House? Good events and not a bad club but jesus, people falling all over covered in blood, tense atmosphere, bottles being thrown/smashed over peoples heads, stabbings outside, drug overdoses all the time etc.

All the "O" sounds become "ERR". An "I" is "ARR". And where the hell does MAFTING come from?

I've only ever known Sils as a gay club or the 6th form indie night... sounds like it was a bit more interesting back in't day. I think Spiders is the "lerrcal" club now.
