Have to say I went to Rock City a few weeks ago for a gig, and when I came back out onto the streets with my brother after it'd finished, the vibe in the city centre was not good. I reckon a lot of people probably feel extremely threatened.
There was also a fatal shooting on the road where my mate who is at uni lives :eek2:
I used to live near Luton until about 1990 and it wasn't too bad then, but now it's supposedly the terrorist capital of Britain!
One of the worst places I've visited is Bridlington I think.
I go all the time with my family for fun picnics in the park
That is some travel just for a picnic. The parks are shite too.
hellfire is from shite notley. The 5 minutes walk makes ALL the difference. It is also shit.
Do you live anywhere near Quorn?
sounds like you made a wise early escape.
probably.
i think they should call it by it's proper name of 'kingston upon hull'. it sounds so much nicer but the phrase mutton dressed as lamb springs to mind!
my nanna and grandad live in fowey. and i even know how to pronounce it!
i have to agree, it is a tad boring...because of all the old people. but it is very pretty.
my cousins live in fowey, its about 6 miles away. and also smells of fish. my friend and i once got attacked by some teenage boys in a park there.
countless old people. all very grumpy. pretty in places, yes... the moors are gorgeous. but everywhere else is grey and grotty. lots of weird, suspicious, pervy people where I live, also.
when i go visit them we stay in fowey hotel, i love it there.
and i've never noticed the smell of fish!
never been to fowey hotel. maybe the smells something to do with my cousins.
It is so grey/depressing/boring and downright shite. Infact it one a prize for the most depressing architecture in Scotland. Can't wait til I move.
Yeah it's only 2 villages away. My friend lives there, why
My girlfriend lives in Barrow, which sounded more or less the same place as you by the description. With Quorn being the bigger I thought there was less chance of you going "What?".
You lived in Salford didn't you? I've heard many glowing reports of that area (concerning drugs and crime)
wakefield, while far from the top of my 'fun places to live' list is by no means the most hideous place in the area. in fact, if you firebombed the city centre and everything up to a mile south, it'd be quite nice.
I used to think that, until I got out and explored the country a bit. My mum was born here, her parents too, I don't know how they stayed. I'll be the first to up and leave.
Oh no i spend most of my time in Barrow, tis where our local pub is
Ha ha! I almost know you. Is it The Nav? I bet you even went to Rawlins!
Yes the good old Navigation
I didn't go Rawlins cause i live in Birstall, but quite a few of my friends/boyfriends friends did.
