    The results are very different. Drugs offer you something, Big Brother offers you fuck all. Simple as that.

    That's the difference, that's why they don't compare and that's why it's not fucking ironic.

    I think it was established a very long time ago that what you get from drugs and what you get from Big Brother are too completely different things. It's your opinion that Big Brother is filling your mind with crap. But that's not what you are doing when you take drugs? Just because you get something good out of it does not mean it's not bad for your mind. With Big Brother you think people are metaphorically filling their minds with crap and with drugs you are physically filling your mind with crap.

    You seem to be pissed off about something that nobody has disagreed with you about.

    It doesn't matter whether I like Big Brother or not. It doesn't matter what drugs offer and what Big Brother offers. You are saying that there's no comparison between what they offer. No one has ever disagreed with you.

    They both involve filling your mind with crap. It's irrelevant how your mind is filled with crap. It's irrelevant what happens to your mind once filled with drugs. They both fill your mind with crap. And fuck knows where you got the idea I think drugs are rubbish or why you used quotation marks.

    That's my final word on the matter if you are going to continue to infer something completely different. You probably still think that he said it was ironic because he thinks drugs and Big Brother are the same, but whatever.

    My original comment was that watching big brother fills your mind with 'rubbish' - as in it's a waste of time, a pointless exercise. TKoG found this ironic becasue I take drugs and you agree yes?
    Now if the drugs I take were simply toxic substances with no merit than you might have been able to say I'm filling my mind with rubbish/crap, but as it happens (this is the relavent bit), they've given me some incredible experience and have been involved in some of the best night of my life. There's a point to it, a very good reason for it, and that's why it's not 'filling your mind with rubbish/crap'.

    What don't you get? It really is a very simple concept to grasp. I even put in inch high letters earlier. It does not matter if what you get from drugs is good or bad or indifferent or stimulating or depressing or whatever. Good for you that you have gained some valuable experiences, that's great. That was never, and is not my point. I wasn't arguing about bb vs drugs, I am not arguing that bb is better than drugs, nothing of that sort. My point was, and remains, that what your original post (of filling your body and mind with crap is up to you), from a self confessed drug user, is totally and complete absurd and ironic, because that is what you do with your consumption of drugs, YOU FILL YOU'RE BODY AND MIND WITH CRAP. IT DOESN'T MATTER IF IT MAKES YOU FEEL GOOD. LIKE DOC SAYS YOU ARE STILL FILLING YOUR BODY WITH TOXINS. THAT WAS MY POINT!! THAT'S WHY WHAT YOU SAID WAS IRONIC! Now, if you admit that drugs are completely harmless and safe (beyond the effect it produces), and that you are NOT filling your body and mind with crap, then I would say you're slightly deluded about drugs and how 'beneficial' they are/can be.

    So? I never said they were crap, I said you were filling your mind with crap, two totally different concepts. I'm sure that drugs do offer some interesting experiences, but that wasn't my point. So what if I've never tried them, it's not exactly rocket science to know that smoking bits of bloody plastic in soapbar, or cocaine cut with god knows what, is exactly healthy. You're not reading what I've written, you're reading what you want to read, but please just stop, read exactly what I've written, and THINK ABOUT WHAT I'VE WRITTEN.

    Are you not understanding the point? You think that every drug you buy from a steet dealer is completely and legitimately pure and uncut, with no bleach or baking soda or bits of plastic or talcum powder or glucose or vitamin C or laxatives or dried baby milk baby or caffeine or whatever, that these ingredients do not constitute it being full of crap? You think they are all wholesome ingredients?

    as pure and clean as the nutmeg in the corner shop.
    probably purer and cleaner than the thyme or parsley in your kitchen thankyoyu.

    Well, I;ve not done a u-turn, if that's what you're getting at. That was my point all along, but I reckon you can't really separate the drug and the adulterant.... Most street drugs are cut as a 'matter-of-fact'. But anyway.... Honestly, I'm so glad you've gotten it, and I'm not even being sarcastic. I was actually beginning to question whether you'd get it at all. Phew. Well, pure bud I suppose wouldn't exactly be at the 'crap' end of the crap scale, so yeah, it's not filling your body with crap, but that's all I'm conceding :)

    Look, we can argue this point until the cows come home. My point was fairly general in application. I really can't be bothered going through each available drug on whether it's pure or not, since that's pointless and boring. Knock yourself out though. I just thought we could end this discussion on a fairly friendly note?
