Hi everybody, just a general question here.
A lot of my friends take cannabis, and I have let them know many times that I have no intention of joining in and will not be around if they wish to take it. I'm just worried about possible short and long term effects.
Can anybody help me get wised up?!
Thanks

J mate that was a bit uncalled for, she was only asking about its effects, we were all anti drugs at one point you know
If she doesn't want to be around people smoking weed then fair enough, her choice surely ? And i have no idea where the alcohol comes into it
I don't have anything against people that take drugs, that's their decision. I was simply asking if there was anything I should be concerned about.
that is a good question and one which I am going to answer.
let us start at the begining, this is the first time you smoke a spliff on your own or with friends I dont care, but this is the most important spliff as it wakes up the "stoneman", althogh the physical effects are minimal this is due to "stoneman" being in his infancy, he must grow as we grow.
so as not to confuse I will take a moment to explain who the "stoneman" is. He is a chubby little man who lives in your brain, have you ever read the numbskulls in the Beano or Dandy comics? like that. He is a man of little needs, as most of the time he likes to sleep in his chair.
OK so what happens when you get stoned?
You take a big hit on either a spliff or a bong, the thcs wake up the "stoneman" he walks over to a button on the wall and pushes it, this allows him to take control of your body. Dont be scared he wont hurt you.
What happens next?
well the "stoneman" like to listern to music, and boy can he dance. This kind of feels like tingles all over your body as he boogies. He also may get huungry, so you must feed him, some call this the munchies. Also when the "stoneman" is young he may find somethings he has not seen before funny, this is called the giggles and can last for a long long time, you have been warned.
Now over time the "stoneman" grow and become a bigger part of who you are he will show you new and exciting ways to look at things, colours will become brighter and words will have new meanings.
So the next time you spark up have an extra toke for the "stoneman" who lives in your head.
Makes me want to go and call on the "stoneman" right now.

Hope that helps! - should do, but to cut a long story short: no problem compared to 'legal drugs' !!!
marijuana smoke is clean in comparison with tobaco and an other smoking splant.
the high you do get from weed is melo and doesn't alter you that much, more of an asprine deal that leaves you a bit more porne to comedy. for some reason your creativity get hacked into when you smoke weed, so if you are a musician or an artist then you should be happy with the results. unlike alcool, weed has no potential to kill you, or turn your organs into decrepant piles of mush.
the only effect there might be is a bit of a dry mouth if you don't have a glass of water.
..... one friend was mildly bothered about her weight. Due to the fact that she smoked most nights and then went on the munchies it began to bother her more and more. This eventually resulted in her obsession taking over her life and she became very severely bulimic.
This is obviously just one instance and it was an underlying problem anyway. Just thought that I should bring it to your attention though.
Loopi. xxx
Very good point.
Nowadays it makes me think too much, and pretty much the only time I smoke it is when I'm pilled up, or at a party. It also makes me incredibly lethargic when I regulary use it and I'd much rather have a couple pints now instead. Sorry J.
