Just got it back, i got a B12 i'm absolutely exstatic!! :hyper:

    Dissertation

    Well done for doing well in your dissertation (what is a B12 tho?) I also got my grade back today and got 80...the highest out of everyone in my subject area this year! So I am happy too!

    I think different uni's have different ways of grading, i have no idea what an 80 is! My uni grades like this (i think) A16-14, B13-11, C10-8, D7-5, E4-2. So pretty much the same as in GCSE's with the aphabetical grade A being the best, then the numbers distinguish between a high eg A16, a medium eg A15 and a lower grade eg A14.

    At my uni:

    70+ = 1st
    60 - 69 = 2.1
    50 - 59 = 2.2
    40 - 49 = 3rd
    below 40 = fail

    But an 80 is really hard to get which is why im quite chuffed but also totally stunned! The 24th! Thats ages away...poor you :(

    Well done satehen and Pink_Angel! I got my Research Design Paper for my master's dissertation back yesterday and was provisionally graded B ++. I'm so relieved - it means at least that my supervisor reckons my project is do-able and will go along the right lines. I'm just trying to construct my surveys now

    I did get 90% in the last piece of cw I did though :D

    (although I failed last semester, so it doesnt quite make up for it :( )

    My dissertation was titled "A Sociological Investigation of How Food is Advertised with Particular Reference to Advertising That Targets Children as Their Market." So I studied television food advertising directed at children and undertook a content analysis and a discourse analysis to generate my own data and compared that to previously undertaken research that I had discussed in a previous chapter.

    And Replicant yes that was in percentages if you want to be pedantic about it! :rolleyes:
