I don't exactly know what to say, coz I've never done that, but I knew someone at a camp I went to who did (she told us in t&d)and she said that she put savalon on it . . . or was it calendula cream? Anyway, she treated it the same way she would a shaving rash, and she said it went away in a few days. I don't know if that helps, but isn't it just badly-placed stubble?

2 choices, let it grow back so it doesnt ich anymore or keep shaving it to stop the stubble comin back.

hehe i didnt get there first, not even slightly! i knew there was a reason not to use talcum powder and how there might have been some link with cancer but it only just jogged my memory with that post j9.

Never put off to tomorrow what you can avoid altogether.

To the original poster whoever you were....god my memory.. anyway my advice:
Let it grow back...within a week usually to stop ichyiness then use waxing strips.loads easier...and it grows back with the ichy coz the hair ends isn't sharp or something along those lines.....lol

The stuff about talcum powder being the cause of ovarian cancer is not true, even if it gets repeated by a few doctors!

However, it is true that you shouldn't put talcum powder on the delicate genital area because it is an irritant. It feels smooth on your hand, but if you look at it under a microscope it's made up of millions of little spiky bits. Tht's also the reason for not using it during nappy changes - if you make a big cloud of the stuff, the baby can breathe it in.

Hi j9,

Ovarian cancer is likely to have several causes, and the stuff about talcum powder seems to be based on flawed research, as far as I can tell. I've chatted to a couple of gynaecologists about it before, and it was very interesting.

But of course, you are quite right, it is hardly ever possible to prove or disprove any theory 100%. Journalists who don't fully understand how statistics and medical research work are often guilty of starting off scare stories. It's just sooo confusing...

Talc is bad for your delicate pink bits anyway <IMG alt="image" SRC="http://www.thesite.org/ubb/smile.gif">
