burnt finger

ive just burnt my finger really badly, anyone got any tips to stop it hurting? Ive put it under water for awhile.

    Keep it under water until it stops hurting or for 10 mins, whichever is the longer time.

    keep your finger on a bag of frozen peas

    and my grandma swears if you rub honey on it then the sting will go away

    well ive had it in a glass of water for about 20 mins, still hurts, but i think its just cold more than anything. I may try the honey though :chin:

    i was told once that if u put ketchup on a burn it will take the pain away and prevent it from blistering!how true that is i do not know hmmmmm...!!

    I wouldn't put anything like honey on it
    Just keep it under cold water till it stops hurting...nothing more you can do really

    its a bit better now, im sure by the morning it will be fine. I didnt put any food on it by the way, didnt want sticky fingers :p

    Never put anything on burns. Running cold water, for AT LEAST ten minutes. If you take a roast lamb from the oven, a splash of water won't cool it down - same system.

    Keep it clean - DON'T BURST THE BLISTER [if you get one]
