Do films like Trainspotting and Traffic have any affect on drug usage?

they shouldn't, but i suppose films that glorify drug use will encourage it a bit. Deciding to take drugs just on the basis of a film would be pretty stupid and i suspect that only a small minority would site this as the reason they started. I would say the majority of films shed a bad light on drugs and therefore the most likely affect is to put people off. But would you run your life as you see it in a soap ? Films are fictional at the end of the day and people know that ! check out human traffic and fear and loathing in las vegas, both are a good advert for our wicked ways

If you don't plan something, it can't go wrong

"Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas", the Terry Gilliam film, has made me very curious about doing some serious drugs. I won't do them though. it was a cool film.

Cheech and Chong, Up In Smoke, made me wanna toke.

Nah, not really. Drug influenced films can broaden someone's horizons, make them aware that there's a lot more out there than you'd think, but anyone who basis their decision to do/not do drugs on something like that's an idiot anyway, IMHO of course.

Its not something I've ever thought about doing BUT after watching Trainspotting there is no way I would go anywhere near Heroine.

If someone took Heroine from watching that film they must be fucked in the head.

Trainspotting in no way glorified the use of Heroine it done the complete opposite for me. Just the thought of the toilet scene makes me want to hurl.
