    I have such mixed feelings about this.....

    In terms of effectiveness it's good because it drives home the message of how widespread the issue is, but I'm really turned off by the 'fashionable' element that's developed around the campaign. It's like the Livestrong wristbands; people are starting just to want to wear them because it's fashionable. People are selling them on Ebay and the money's going straight into their back pocket, not to the cause, but people don't care - they still buy them from Ebay because it's fashionable these days to have one on. So the fact that there are all these celebrities on the ad is a bit of a turn-off for me because it kinda propounds that mindset.

    But maybe I'm just being self-righteous. If it gets people buying them then the money's still going towards the cause, and that's the main thing.

    I've seen it...thought it cold, simple and to the point - find it called to me less than seeing the images of the poverty that have previously been used to advertise with - did feel the line "Somebody's daughter..."

    I haven't seen that before, but I think its really good. The fact they got so many "big names" to promote it..hard hitting, and effective. The whole clicking thing adds a sense of mystery.

    Its a bit crap that the bands are being sold for gazillions on ebay just becase they are fashionable - but the MPH ones are about a political statement rather than making money so its not so bad...... But go buy one from here www.mphshop.co.uk or an oxfam shop.

    Ohhh and whilst your about it come and vigil as well - the trade stuff isn't getting enough of a look in http://www.tjm.org.uk/
