Experience working in Computer Industry

Im taking a year out this year and i wanna get some real experience working in IT, prefferably for a company. Any ideas where i can start looking. I've looked at the Year in Industry site which do have a few placements but just wondering where else i cud look. :)

    Dunno lol, well i wud only want it for like 6 months to a year as i wud be goin to Uni in September 06.

    Are you only looking for places in your own area or are you prefered to move?

    Most companies have placement schemes that they advertise along with their jobs, although most are for people who've done 2 years of their degree. Best bet is to just have a nosey at web sites and see what people are offering. Usual application dates are about Novemeber - January for the start of the summer.
