I see what your saying and agree with u but some people see it as u only have one life so u may aswell live it to the max and try everything, and do things that give u enjoyment etc etc.
Unfortunatly some people would feel like they had no fun or good times in life if it wasnt for the fact they cxould get high. I know for me, in the past drugs have done me a lot of favours and also done me none at all. For instance at times when Ive come close to wanting to top myself, drugs helped me feel happy and stopped me wanting to end it all. They have also messed me up in the past and also made me feel like I cant go out and have fun unless Im on something but to be honest I was like that with alchol before I did drugs anyway.
It would be lovely to be able to feel good and have a good life witout the need of drugs or drink but unfortunatly thats not always the case is it.

Iv never taken drugs and dont wish too. I personally think that if u wana take drugs do so, but if it risks OTHER peoples safety (e.g drivin when high, losing control, acting out of character etc etc) its just not worth it. Drugs scare the fuck out of me. I was in a niteclub in Brum and i saw i guy on E with big eyes and he was reaching out to touch things that werent there and was talking to an 'imaginary person' behind the door. I just cant comprehend (Excuse me if im being stupid here!) why anyone would INTENTIONALLY make themselves like that?! I just dont get it.
Scary as it seems, drugs are becoming as commonplace as tobbaco. So in 30 years is the whole neighbourhood gunna be doped up or running round in a halucinating warp minded stance?!!

People use drugs mostly for the amazing mind altering affects you get from them. Doing drugs is no different from drinking coffee, tea, coca-cola, milk, eating popcorn, watching television... all of these things.. we do because we enjoy them.
Like someone else said, you only live once. I have done a lot of drugs and i only regret a few. (cocaine, crack, dramamine) But hallucinogenics are truly amazing. It's something that changes your views of life. I think its good to experience this world.. It seems to bring me to appreciate life and nature more.
Drinking 1 beer can kill you. I rarely drink but when I do, I can drink 1 beer and be fairly buzzed. I'm 210lbs if it can give me that good of a buzz someone weighing about 110lbs could easily get buzzed enough to go driving and kill themself in a car wreck. Or even someone with diabetes.. one beer can kill them as it causes their blood sugar to rise to a deadly high.
People die from x because they arent drinking water (dehydration) or they are not taking rests and cooling down (heat stroke). Also from bad pills which arent even x.

when was the last time you injected/snorted coffee, tea, coca-cola, milk, popcorn or...TV? where the fuck did that come into it? you crazy foo, doing drugs is immensely different to doing things you like because drugs can kill you, they have adverse effects on the body. last time i checked, tea and coffee were pretty safe to use.
you only live once is right, so why go on a mission to decrease your life expectancy? i dont give a shit that taking a pill makes you see things in a different light, walk around with your eyes wide open and your brain in gear and you'd be surprised how much you actually pick up.

bad pills are very common. when you're high and buzzing do you really want to cool down and take a rest? is your mentality such that you're thinking what's good for you or do you think you're on top of the world and could accomplish anything? the idea of drugs is for the second, surely. so therefore, you wouldn't feel you needed to rest. im sorry, but why bother doing drugs for a good time when you should be able to have a good time in the first place?

personally i think drugs and smoking are things I will never get involved with because I think they're pointless. the cons far outweigh the pros. I agree with pretty much everything MD has said.
having said that, I'm not prejudiced against those who do use drugs. eg. skive and lolly tend to give good advice and are nice people (of course fat_mike's an exception, at least he seems so). if a friend of mine started to smoke or use drugs I would be like Turtle and tell them I think they're being stupid, but I wouldn't stop liking them.
drugs are harmful. tea is harmful. the difference is in the amount you have. it'd take several million cups of tea before it began to have an adverse effect. it doesn't take several million pills/joints/whatever they are to have an adverse effect.

yeah same here. unless their drug use was affecting them and their personality, and id done my best to get them to give up and help them, and they were just becoming a horrible person and refusing to do anything about it. or if they were getting other hooked or stuff like that, then i might reconsider the friendship.
