Hi there!
Just wondering if any of you acid enthusiasts have any tips for my first trip please. I've gone to all the usual reputable info sites and I feel like I know enough about the effects, dosage, risks, precautions, etc..
But it would also be great to add an experienced dimension to my knowledge, so I can read about advice from someone firsthand. <IMG SRC="biggrin.gif" border="0" ALT="icon">

My advice would be when you do it make sure there are lots of you and your friends all coming up at about the same time. and have at least one who is straight, (this is just to stop you doing somthing stupid). I like to call this person the shark.
From a former frequent flyer, my advice is don't bother. Learn about Tibetan Buddhism and go meditate on a mountaintop for a couple of years. You will get a much nicer buzz and it will not go away. You will also get some amazingly trippy visuals with the Tibetan variety...
LSD will seem silly by comparison.
In exactly the same way that buying an inflatable doll is easier, cheaper and less pretentious than marrying the woman (or man) of your dreams.

well im married to the man of my dreams and i think theres no comparison to that and taking acid, and i think youll find most people dont have the time let alone the inclination to go and meditate on a tibetan mountain somewhere for a couple of years. I dont think id do acid anymore but if i wanted to get that sort of high im pretty sure id take a tab of acid rather than waste 2 years of my life up a mountain being self indulgent
I don't think this needed to descend into a dogfight over what gives you the greater buzz - sitting up mountains freezing your arse off or dropping a tab and experiencing self-induced schizophrenia for 12 hrs.
I've done far too much of the latter and I have to admit that giving the choice now, I sit up a mountain for 2 years. There's a time and a place for everything and if someone prefers sitting up mountains rather than taking acid then good luck to them.
I've always felt I took the lazy option to be honest. See the universe and a whole lot more from your own front room. Rather than go the long way round and do the work yourself. Acid is an amazing tool, but there are other ways to see the inside of your mind.
I'm not judging anyone (god forbid). All I'm saying is that I spent a long time thinking I was the adventurous one by taking anything and everything I could get my hand on and that other people were really missing out. Turns out, I did get a look at the bigger picture, but now I find it more difficult working out what the smaller ones mean. Sometimes I wish I'd fucked off up that mountain for a couple of years instead.
Also, tidycrash, read the thread from a few weeks back on this subject. There was several posts in there I think you should read. I'll go and find it...
And please read the whole thread because the beginning is somewhat misleading.
