Another death

I went to Raindance last night at the Drome under London Staion and 1 matey died and three were hospitalised. It's on the news that pills killed 'em. Supposed to be a dody batch or somthing. I suspect the pills only contributed. It was like an oven. The matey died of heat stroke and about 30 ravers suffered minor heat problems. It was the promoters fault. They should take the blame. I vomited b4 I'd even taken any drugs cause of the heat. It was soooooo hot. When I go to an event I expect the enviroment I'm in to be as safe as possible. I didn't pay to be cooked alive. Still a wicked night though.

Again, they said the pills were from a "dodgy batch" but like I said lst night, how many other people must have had pills from the *same* batch and were ok?
I hate it when places are proper hot like that, its awful. bad enough when you havent had anything, but when you have its most uncomfy.

The heat just doesnt help, i completely agree with the above post... water is too expensive in clubs... Its sad that theyre not helping these sad things happening... <IMG alt="image" SRC="http://www.thesite.org/ubb/frown.gif">

I'm saddened by all this, and typically your going to get the stupid govenment going on about how its tightening down on drug abuses by wasting its 100 million pound budget on punishing users and not education/prevention and treatment...
Hmmm..it's easy to say a "dodgy batch" of pills, but where did that info come from?? The dealer?? The original manufacturer?? It's too easy a scapegoat.
Only users lose drugs
It's always been a hot venue but there was no prooper chillout this time round. No air con just a few fans mainly positioned for the Dj's to enjoy. I don't blame the promoter actually but the SE1 venue owners. They had trouble with Health and Saftey in the past anyway.
It was the only event I've ever been to that I have felt really ill at.
A lot of the problem was overcowding as well. I saw loads of bouncers taking cash to let people in through the exits.
Any way there's a page devoted to it in the Mirror so I would hope they get it sorted b4 the next event.

A realistic view for once from a source I'd least expect, i.e a newspaper. Fair play too them for writing about how it really is instead of the usual waffle that they print
