Been to over 50, maybe even 60, so there's far too many to list.

Best have probably been Snow Patrol last year, Metallica last year at Download in Glasgow, Slipknot and Slayer last year and the Chili Peppers at Murrayfeild in Edinburgh.

Theres probably loads more I could list, it's just too early.

When you say concert do you mean like and out door venue then? Because i have seen loads of biggish bands (well with in the 'genre' or whatever) in venues, all be it smallish ones (the place that is not the bands) like Rock City in Nottingham, and ye good old Charlotte in Leicester.
But the only groups i've seen play in like a big huge outdooor crowd gigs are, Greenday, Less Than Jake, No Doubt, A, Hooberstank and Rival Schools.

I was gonna call you a bloody pop-punk chick, and slap you, but then I seen Rival Schools. Now I envy you.

    You bastard.

Best live act I think I've ever seen has been Primal Scream in Belfast a couple of years ago. Made all the better by the fact I wasn't really into them at that point and only went because someone offered me a ticket. Truly mind blowing show.

Fun Lovin' Criminals were also pretty damn good.

Athlete (3 times :hyper:, including V2004). Snow Patrol at the first Athlete gig I went to, Stereophonics, The Corrs (eugh), Robbie Williams (with Ash, Moby, The Darkness and Kelly Osbourne supporting...at Knebworth), Eminem, and a load of bands at V last year. Am going to see Green Day in June :thumb:

I dont really go to singular concerts as its too expensive and not many venues locally that would do anything other than local bands (which incidently are often amazing)
Prefer going to festivals so I can see loads for cheaper :)
Went to Reading last year and saw Darkness, Franz Ferdinand, Morrissey, Placebo, White stripes, Lost prophets, Green day and others I cant remember. Went to V the year before and saw RHCP, David Gray and spearhead. Also seen the pogues, van morrison and toots and the maytals.

little missy-not sad-each to their own! You may do stuff others don't! Like my mates who prefer footy matches to gigs!

I've been to way too many concerts and am tryin to stop going to ones where i like say one song by a band as it gets ridiculous so now I've seen most of my faves, if I don't go-I won't worry now! Unless its Bonjovi then i have to go!

Big concerts that are outdoors have been few-mainly been bonjovi unless we are talkin festivals but I class them as festivals not concerts.

At the mo I prefer gigs in arensa size of the brum nec. I used to prefer smaller initmate ones like the wolves wulfrun sized gigs. I dunno-maybe I'm too old for this!

Best recent gig was greenday by far. Very intensely pleasing and very fab!

Best gig ever-hmm do I say the one that made a dream come true when i saw bonjovi last time and touched his bottom? hmm its too hard, theres been too many!

what makes a gig the best for you? Does it matter if the support is crap, the car parking awful, the beer overpriced or do all factors besides the excellentness of the main band not matter? Just wondered!
  • Former MemberFormer Member Posts: 1,876,323 The Mix Honorary Guru
The best gig ive ever been to?

Iron Maiden Dance of Death tour at the MEN.

    Utterly brilliant.
  • Former MemberFormer Member Posts: 1,876,323 The Mix Honorary Guru
i have been to millions of gigs! we get through like 2 a month here at least!

    right, big bands lemme think...
    morrissey
    bryan adams
    brand new (twice)
straylight run - and again on wednesday!!!!!
    alkaline trio
reel big fish - i was like 10 haha
    *cues the shameful ones*
    avril
destinys child (although they were quality!)
    britney
    all saints
    boyzone

haha oh yeah we went to see jesse james last week but their support blew them outta the sky so we stayed for like 2 songs
we have also been to every party in the park haha - means i got to see bon jovi though!

am of to previously mentioned straylight, then athlete then the give it a name festival (aka emofest 2005 - there were rumours brand new are playing so i cross my fingers)

we have quality local bands though - nxs (new cross scene haha) spawned bloc party and athlete (kinda as theyre from deptford) so i've seen soooooo many gigs that i'm going half deaf!

My ex boyfriend's band played with all three of those. The blokes in Farse trashed the whole pub where they were playing and ended up making no money at all 'cos they had to pay for all the smashed glasses. 4ft Fingers are wakners but Uncle Brian are really, really sweet.

I've seen loads of gigs/concerts/live bands, probably over 100, well, well over 100, but the best was Iron Maiden last year @ Newcastle Arena.
