drugs can, in the right hands be tremendous fun, word gets about, people get curious, try some, have fun and spread the word further - thats basically how it works <IMG SRC="smile.gif" border="0" ALT="icon">
I think alot of myths are about over the use of drugs, escapism, rebellion and looking 'cool' spring to mind, none, from what i cna tell are responsible for people trying drugs.
Alot of circumstances are involved in why one specific individual tries a drug for the first time and its impossible to name all of them ! Instead its best to find common links, i tried drugs primarily in a quest to satisfy my 'you only live once, enjoy it' theory on life.
Although you highlight the word 'illeagal' i reckon its much the same as alcohol in why people have a go, if you consider those reasons carefully you'll see similarities !
that's pretty much why i started (after i'd broken through the Governmental Brainwashing in my head), i'm just a pills & gear man with the odd trip thrown in once or twice a year for good measure.
Now as to why i'm still doing them, 1 word, pure and simple - Music. The pair just go hand in hand.

I used to go to the lost weekend when hotdog was there loads but have yet to visit (is is zoo love?) I'm a big passion fan and go quite as often os possible. I also like the bomb, esp DIY. and atomic jam at the que club (possibly the best venue in Britain) and like a bit of funky stuff too.... went to see mr morillo at babooshka last saturday.
I likes a bit of everything!

What a clever statement. Before you go calling us stupid you should think whether or not you, being so clever, are willing to have a decent enough debate with us. From what you have written so far I'd advise against it.
From what I gather you seem to no pretty much fuck all about what you're talking about, and what you 'think' you know has been fed to you by the government and media.

There are precious few individual people around, most are sheep who will follow the nearest leader, and do anything to be accepted by society.
I'm talking about users of things like pills, speed, and acid here. Heroine and Crack are another matter. People who start taking them are simply retarded losers who can't see past the next few hours in their lives.
When they fatally overdose, they do the rest of us a favour.
Many things are drugs but only some are illegal. If something is legal does that make it good? Just because it makes the government lots of money and marketing stuff?

Not everyone is a sheep, especially after the age of 14/15. Most people take drugs because they want to, because they like it, because it is an enjoyable experience that feels nice, much like eating chocolate or getting pissed.
Arrogant, stuck up, judgemental people like yourself are the ones that that would do everyone a favour by shutting your mouth and maybe broadening your horizons.
Firstly Drugs dont contain stuff like rat poison. Dangerous stuff found in pills is so rare!! so that is bollocks.
Secondly u do more damage to ur body thru drinking. Alcohol has time and time again proven all sorts of liver/kidney trouble as well as lots of other bodily problems.
But u do know what u are gettin with drink. If pills were legal ppl cud regulate what goes into them and they be 100% safe.
