O.k house or pills ? would one survive without the other ? I know i liked house before i tried pills but not to the extent i do now. They evolved together since the late 80's and i doubt either would have been as widespread without the other ?

Are they kind of partners in crime ? just as garage and the whole attitude thing of garage feed of each other

I liked the music just as much before I ever tried any drugs but being on a pill makes for a more intense experience. I know drugs are widespread in house/dance clubs, but for everyone on E there will be another person who doesn't take drugs but just loves the music.

I don't think thats true, for real house club nights, in say gatecrasher non-pillers are in the minority by quite a way. if you take your average club up and down the country i'd say pillers are in the minority, but then they don't attract the hardcore house fans

Maybe...but you can never prove something like that. I know lots of people who love the whole clubbing scene but are opposed to drugs.

If you come with me to passion @ coalville next time i'll prove it <IMG alt="image" SRC="wink.gif" border="0"> but back to original point, would house even exsist without e ? they launched into mainstream hand in hand and without e i doubt house would be as we know it

errr...since when was Gatecrasher a house night? I was under the impression they played trance, which has about as much to with house as goat's cheese does.
House evolved from disco and funk, in the gay black and hispanic clubs in New York and Chicago in the 1980's. A lot of the clubbers would be on cocaine, LSD etc.
Clubs, music and drugs have always gone together, since the days of jazz back in the 20's and 30's.

eh? House has always had that funk element to it, it evolved from disco, funk and soul for gods sake!
And E makes me feel extremely funky, so I don't know where you get the alcohol argument from.

I'm using house to cover all the different types of 'house' music. Trance, techno, hard house, garage etc all come from house which was the original, although now house itself is different if you see what i mean ?
