ok, this is quite hard to explain...
but basically my g/f has *very* heavy periods and she has a very short cycle - about 21 days someyimes. it's really hard for her and i don't like seeing her in so much pain...
she has loads of tablets to take (about 39 a day when she's not on and 42 when she is!!) that regulate her hormonoes, try not to make her too heavy and try to space them out...
what i would like to know is if anyone has had this or knows of someone like this and if there's any way that it can be helped? i will be going to see a doctor with her to have a chat about it and perhaps get the pill - not just for contraception but i'm aware it helps regulate them and helps with the skin (when she doesn't take all these pills she sometimes gets a few small spots under her skin)
so just wondered if there was anything anyone had of any use to tell me, help me, explain a little more about what the pill can actually do etc before going to see the doctor about this - as i know some of them just want to get rid of you a.s.a.p.

Death is one of the few things that can be done as easily lying down. The difference between sex and death is that with death you can do it alone and no one is going to make fun of you

Now my periods are totally different. They dont last as long and I dont get hardly any pain maybe a few stomach twinges - thats it! Definately worth it!
One thing I will say though is that I did put on a little weight after starting the pill and not all of the brands can help with your skin, there's certain pills that contains the Male Hormone - Testosterone which is what helps with the spots (don't worry it doesn't make her voice deeper or anything). The one I use is Diannette and thats also helped clear my skin up.

i think they have started refraining from putting people on the pill willy-nilly because it's advised not to go on for more than ten years...even ten is pushing it...
but i'm sure there'll be some other method/drugs to help her then
