I'm looking for albums that people think are essential. I'll take any genre (excluding pop and r'n'b), so come on, fire away fuckers!

Been meaning to get that for so long, everytime I say to myself I'll get it, I see something else and end up buying that.

Got quite a few of the albums folk have suggested, others that tickle my pickle are on my To Buy List.

    Cheers, keep 'em coming!

Are you serious? I'd say the only consistently good album Radiohead have made has been the Bends. They've got a lot of other good songs, but the rest of the stuff on other albums can be dire.

I wouldn't disagree with that, but the point is that there are nuggests to be found on each of their albums, and you won't get to them if you don't hear the whole thing.

I took me ages to get past OK Computer and really enjoy the following albums. But I cannot deny that some of what is one those albums is genius work...

He said essential. Not 'ideal for a 10-year-olds Birthday party'. ;<

    Anyway:

    The Futureheads - The Futureheads
Kaiser Chiefs - ... Whatever it's called. Might not be out for a few days but get it.

I swear everyone was just giving their opinion on what they thought was good and a decent album?! Thats all I did and I get that kind of response?!

Sorry, I won't bother next time!

How can you know it's an essential album to have if it's not even out yet?!
