i might want to take a year out before my 3rd year of my degree

does anyone know the procedure of this?

ive heard mixed rumours, like you have to re-apply and take tests and stuff when you return?

I know on my course that if your tutor agrees a year out is the right option then it's a very simple procedure. My tutor was telling me about it a few months ago, and she basically said I'd need a docs letter if it's medical related, or I guess a tutor's letter if not, and then it has to be signed and stuff. But I think as long as they agree they try to make it a relatively painless procedure. Tates xxx

i wanted to take a year out, but i'm not now because i've got to get my GCSEs next year.....seems a bit silly because i'll have a qualification that's equivilant to an A level but anyway....employers like bits of paper...

Depends on your university and how they do things. Some will simply suspend your education, and you can come back at that point.
