The pill and mefeamic acid tablets

Does anyone know the effects of taking them together?

Cos I forgot to ask my doc and nothing was said in the info booklet so I figured that I might as well take both til the effects of the pill start kicking in (I want no more pain!!!). I ended up throwing up loads and loads but this was about 4 hours after I took them. Is this normal? I wasn't planning on going to my doc about this.

So basically any help/advice/info much appreciated.

i think your body just wasnt used to the combination, how long ago has it been since u were sick??? Its not a good idea to take them together (but i suppose you guessed that!) coz i take 1-2 mefanamic acid (NOT RECOMMENDED!!!) coz i've become sort of immune coz i've been on them for quite a while and they make me dizzy, nauseous, hot and fidgety for a while but that fades quite quickly especially if i drink a lot of water but i've never mixed the two together, pill and acid so i would suggest going to the doctor to be safe and especially if any of the symptoms persist.

i'M ON THE PILL, DUE TO PAINFUL PERIODS, ETC ETC!!! AND I DO TAKE MENIFEMIC ACID, AS WELL BUT I HAVE NO SIDE EFFECT FORM THEM,( bloody caplock!) sorry

i dont have any problems with menifemic acid and the pill, and doc said i cld take both, u r not ment to take menifemic acid and ibuprofen, apparently, i do tho! but i have been taking menifemic acid for 3 years + and take 2-3 at a time.... ( dnt do it!) oh yeah and before u take menifemic acid, eat! as otherwise it can cause stomach oulsa's... painful!

maybe u shd c the doc, as its nevr happened to me, i do ahve side effects frm just menifemic hot/cold, shives sumtimes, but i shd look after my bod! 1st andnot take 3!

does this happen everytime u tke it?

oh just a note as well. if you're throwing up, the pill becomes inactive (effectively) for 7 days. but im guessing this isnt relevant right now, just thought it was the right place to mention it.

ive already said all i can think bout this in your journal claire before i noticed this!

I never usually through up on mefenamic acid - usually STOPS me being sick lol. Maybe it was just my body getting used to the pill. I don't think I will go to my doc this time, but if it happens again I will.
