Syncronisation?

I've heard this from a few scources now and I was wondering if it was true and if it is, how it happens: Do women's cycles syncronise themselves when they are together for long periods of time? My girlfriend says this happens when she spends a lot of time with her mom or her friends but I really don't see the link. Is it phycological?

I dunno, but on a smaller scale, if more than one person sleeps in the same room, thier breathing syncronises.....

Dunno mate. I know my girlfriends (yes Stu, u know the one) time of the month seems to be synchronised with my own body clock. She has her period while I have a blonde week! Very strange and has happaned 4 time in the last 4 months!

Yeah, I heard about this synchronisation, too. No idea why this happens, though. Does anyone know?

Ive heard that.

Apparently, when you're on your period, your body sends out chemicals or hormones or something which can be detected by another persons body and sets of similar reactions (i.e. their period starting).

I think if this happens regularly enough your periods become syncronised.

Yep - that definately happens. When I first moved into my flat all of us had different cycles, however after about 4 months of being together, we started to have our periods at exactly the same time! Wierd!
