Did you observe the three minute silence that was held only a few minutes ago?

    I was alone :(

And I had nothing to be up for, so that's why I was in bed.

I was at work at Asda. It was really busy then they announced it over the tannoy and everyone stood still for 3 minutes...I've never heard the place so quiet. It was a bit eery really.

I felt myself filling up I thought I was going to start crying! What an awful awful thing that has happened. Then after the 3 minute silence they started playing a really sad song. I saw a few people with tears in their eyes!

    Aww :(

The only reason I woke up was so that I could listen to music :/

Music be thy life, I tell thee!

i was in a shop and knew nothing about it, i was wondering why the hell people had stopped and were just standing there looking at the floor. I thought i was in a dream! All makes sense now...

I did, kind of annoyed me though (not the silence, the other people around!). Some were whispering, and cause we'd had a mock sprung on us that we had to complete after the 3 minutes, loads of people were just shuffling through notes trying to remember them which was a suggestion of my teachers.

I sat there at my desk and was thinking about it. Just my small sign of respect really. The point was to focus on the tragedy, and people detracted the point of the silence to trying and use that time set aside for thinking of that, to cram in something that's not gonna stay, or to gossip for that little bit longer about something irrelevant. No one seemed to even give a sausage.

    Malt xxx :(

Amazing, isn't it? 150,000 confirmed dead and some people can't even be arsed to take part in a three minute silence to think about those who have lost their lives, those whose lives have been damaged. It speaks volumes about the selfishness of some.

with the exception of today (cos i had to go to the dentist) i've been getting up at 5 or 6 in the afternoon usually, like oging to bed in the dark and waking up in it

no i didn't take part, didn't know it was on till there now, i don't see much point in it, yeh it shows respect and all but doesn't really do much does it.
