Anyone recommend any mid 90s Indie/Rock style type stuff by bands from the UK excluding Oasis, Blur, The Seahorses & Stone Roses.

I would also suggest James. I love them muchly.

Oh, and (although thinking about it, maybe not the right genre, but they still are much good) my mum re-bought Kula Shaker's album (fook knows if I remember what it's called) the other day. That's pretty good.

It's either "K" or "Peasants, Pigs & Astronauts" - I have them both.

Have you tried Shed Seven, not as good as the others you mention... presume that you've also tried The Verve, Charlatans?

Would definately recommend Pulp, early Manics and Ocean Colour Scene...

    Cast, Sleeper, Garbage and Supergrass.

Definitely check out Pulp (His 'n' Hers, Different Class, This Is Hardcare), Ash (1977), Ocean Colour Scene (Moseley Shoals, Marchin' Already) and the Bluetones (Expecting to Fly) - All excellent albums.

That's because I heard a better noise when I ran over next-door's cat.

    Anyway.

    90s UK brit-pop:

    The Divine Comedy
    Kula Shaker
    Primal Scream
    Gomez
    Radiohead (The Bends in particular)
    Manic Street Preachers
    Ash (esp Trailer and 1977)
    Space (Spiders is vasty underrated)
    The Verve
    The Charlatans
    Idlewild
    James
    Crowded House

(and yes, I know the last two were more late-80s, but so were the Stone Roses so feck it)
