I know that loadsa people get sore breasts, mood swings, back ache, stomach ache, headaches, feeling weepy, being sleepy etc etc, I get it too. But I haven't found anyone else that gets a couple of other things I have.
I get really really paranoid. And seriously scared. Last night I was convinced there was a gunman in the garden who was gonna shoot me through the window. I mean I was seriously believing it even though I hadn't heard/seen anything at all. I still can't sleep in total silence/darkness but the first night I'm on my period I'm always wide awake, heart thumping because I'm really scared, but sometimes I don't even know what I'm scared of. This happens every month.
Another thing that happens is that the first full day I'm on, I'm totally wiped out and find it practically impossible to move around for more than about 5 minutes before I need to sit down and collapse. I seem to spend the day in a daze and time and reality and dreams get all mixed up. It's like I keep drifting in and out of consciousness and unless someone is talking to me directly I keep fading in and out.
I take mefenamic acid tablets and paracetomol for the pain, so could this be affecting me in any way? Has anyone heard of/experienced the same kinda stuff cos I've never heard it mentioned before? It only ever happens for the first day/night I'm on my period, but it always happens every month. I could cope with the pain and sleepiness (I hope!) but the delusions (for want of a better word) and the floating in and out of sanity make it kinda hard to function.
Any help greatly appreciated lovely site

I know I'm not perfect but I can smile
Yeah it is kinda weird and scary, I'm a chicken a lot of the time but round my period it just gets out of control - like you described Kitty. I heard primose oil was good for periods but I never tried it - cheers chris, worth a try
Anyone else? Or is it just Kitty and me who get this? (Kitty and Chicky lol)
maybe both?
eep. i'm horrible and paranoid and depressed before my period. it's yucky. but there's added experience issues there too, which makes it worse.
