 he is indeed a genius. His version of Hallelujah is beautifully haunting.

Can't stand him. His dad's great (Tim) but Jeff Buckley is awful imo.

Jeff Buckley was brilliant. Last Goodbye is one of my favourite songs ever!

His Grace album got me through my final year at uni.

I don't think the guy's actually as underrated as people make out. A lot of people do seem to know him at least a little.

Also, his music seems to be pretty universal, everybody seems to like him except Blagsta and one of my friends because he's a tit wank.

He's like Tori Amos, he's an underground artist who everybody has heard of.

He's good, but I don't think he's half as good as Nick Drake.

Would have to agree with that.

It sounds awful to say, but dying when he did was of great advantage to his career. He's legendary now, and definitely more well-known than people imagine (not counting the die-hard fans, of which there are many). Of course that doesn't change the fact that he had an amazing voice and was fantastically talented. The entirity of 'Grace' is magnificent, Mojo Pin must be one of my favourite songs, along with Everybody Here Wants You.

I did read a really good book about Tim and Jeff Buckley, called Dream Brother. Not the self-indulgent dross that most music-biographies are, and a very interesting read.
