i get terrible PMT? i feel insanely depressed about a week b4 and yell at everyone constantly. what can i do to make it better? any ideas? and no, not tea tree oil J9!

I used to use star flower oil capsules, they are much better than evening primrose oil (starflower has higher levels of GLA).
Plenty of fresh friut & vegetables (well washed) & at least 8 classes of water a day starting at least 10 days b4 you are due. Avoid carbohydrates like white bread & flour, refined sugar, sugary drinks, chocolate & sweets & stick to more complex carbohydrates like wholemeal bread, pasta, brown rice, potatoes & pulses (like nuts & peas).
One of the possible reasons for the mood swings is hypoglycaemia so eating complex carbohydrates helps to even out the blood sugar levels.
Avoid salt, tea, coffee, alcohol (bummer), & dairy foods.
Vitamins A, C and B complex are also useful, but I am always a little wary of vitamin suppliments, better to get the vitamins from food.
I know there are a few people here who think this is akin to witchcraft, but so what, give it a try, what've you got to lose?

is GLA gamolenic (sp) acid? coz i think my mum has some, god knows where from and it just has that written on them and i think theyre capsules! and i seem to remember her saying i should take some if i had period pains... although it could all just be a blur and slightly made up in my mind!
