Any one else bought it..?

If not, why not?

If you have a PC, you really really should, because it's very very good!

I doubt i could play it on my laptop, mind you I thought that about Max Payne and i've discovered that works.

If it does work, I doubt I could play it if it has the same set up as Half Life as the uni firewalls won't let me connect to steam. :(

You need to verify the game online before you can actually play it.

aye, in order to play the single player that comes on dvd from the shops you need to:

load dvd, install it, install steam... (takes ages)
register with steam (doesn't take too long)
steam then "unlocks" your game files (takes ages)
then, when you think you've finished:
steam updates half life 2 before you can play it (takes more ages!)

is a bit silly really, but it does help againts copyright theft.

then again, you could just buy the whole lots in gold silver or bronze edition through steam at steampowered.com :)

but it is really good ;)

How long do u think it would take to download on a dial-up? im guessing it would take a whole day. I cant believe they approached it this way.

im thinkin of buying it but dont wana be stuck with a problem of downloading a whole 50 gigs of software lol :D slight exaggeration but still.

    Aye, i second that.

Ive just got to wait for a patch to come along...Halo 2 will suffice for now.

Or u can spk to ur uni comp administrator and get them to open the ports that steam uses, but that's going to take more than a blowjob i'm afraid.:(

I need to know before I buy it so would appreciate any help.
