one question summed up:
x(x-1)y''+3xy'+y=0

show x=0 is regular singular point

turn into a power series

find r from indicial equation

find the recurance relation

produce a series solution for highest value of r

how solution can be simplified to y=(Cx)/[(1-x)(squared)]

feeling like a genius  :D

Incorporation of the parasympathetic subdivision of the autonomic nervous system would work a treat, if you believe the media hype!

i remember doing that crazy stuff at school

thankfully its long been replaced by much more important things in my head

who thinks up these questions anyway? the only maths i ever need now is adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing and the odd percentage, i could have stopped maths in P7 if that was all i would ever use

not useful in real life, solving equations of tat type, gives you enrgy levels of Hydrogen which has all sorts of scientific uses

and maths is like languages the basic logic and methods have to be drummed in at a young age

y is an equation with x as the variable, but is unknown

    y' is the 1st derivative

    y'' is the 2nd derivative

using this info and that equation above we supoosed to generate what y is in terms of x :p

This just confirms that I made the right decision when I switched subjects at uni.
