One of my friends was telling me that in your final year of a degree the amount you can get for your loan is considerably less. Is this true? I assumed that it was the same amount as other years.

Help!

It's not that much less, but it is less, because normally your loan covers your sumer holiday - in your final year, it is expected that you will be working by then.

Mine was about a £1000 less than the year before, like PussyKatty said its because you don't have the summer holidays to account for. I think it should be the same because I can't see many third years having 'proper' jobs in the summer holidays, plus its leaving me short of cash at the mo:(
