Blackening around my eyes...

Former MemberFormer Member Posts: 1,876,323 The Mix Honorary Guru
Hi everyone @ Thesite,

Over the past year I have developed a blackening around my eyes. It is located just under my eyes and in along the side of the nose.

Could anyone please tell me what this is, why its emerged and any techniques to remove it and restorethe currounding areas of my eyes to their natural colour...

Thanks, any advice will be much appreciated...

In my own language this would be called "baugar" and by the description I will ask you a question, how much do you sleep? If it's what it sounds like then it forms under your eyes due to lack of sleep or something of that kind.

Regular sleep or some creme might help. I'm not expert in this, maybe mum knows ;) Good luck with finding the truth =)

im sort of the same, its worse when im tired or not had much sleep. but even in teh holidays when i sleep as much as i like, i still have dark circles i guess its just built up from my lack of sleep. anyway i just use light refective concealer, but if you're a bloke people may laugh!!

i wouldnt worry about it too much apart for cosmetic reasons.

If you don't know where you're going, you'll probably end up somewhere else.

Yup, I'd agree, lack of sleep. However, I wonder if there's a vitamin or mineral deficiency which produces this effect?

Increased pigmentation under the eyes and on the sides of the nose can also be caused by hormone changes and side-effects from some medication. It's a good idea to book an appointment with your GP about it.

I didn't know that Karla, I'll store that in my memory banks. Thanks
