Stitches.

I have a bit of a worry. I went into hospital (8th may) and had an ear op im recovering well everywhere else but the stitches (which were dissolvable) came out last week. The cut has not healed over and is still pretty much open and fairly deep. It is weeping and feels very painful <IMG SRC="frown.gif" border="0" ALT="icon"> I have to go back in next tuesday. I was just wondering if this is normal? If not what should i try to do to make it heal?

no i had something like that done, it shouldnt weep or be open still, you need to make sure you tell them about that when you go to the hospital! and watch it dunt get infected! <IMG SRC="smile.gif" border="0" ALT="icon">

If you're not going back to the hospital for a few days, get your GP to check it, just to rule out the possibility of an infection.

Thanks i went to the doctor and have been given antibiotics and its been bandaged up as i have an infection. Yesterday it decided to bleed non-stop for three hours so i felt it was best to go down <IMG SRC="biggrin.gif" border="0" ALT="icon"> they have sent off test results to see what other treatment if needed i will have to take. Thankyou for all of the replies.
