Mic problem

Former MemberFormer Member Posts: 1,876,323 The Mix Honorary Guru
Right I have a mic and im sure that its ok and its not stuffed. So is there anything I have to do within my computer settings to make the god damned thing work ?

I went onto messenger earlier and did the sound thing but it cant detect my mic. So I was wondering do I have to go to conrol panel and activate sommat ?

Thanks :)

Check your record settings. Windows will only take one input channel at a time. Go to Volume Control, click Options, Properties, and select adjust volume for recording. Make sure microphone is checked. Then press OK, and check the box that selects microphone for input. Then close. Try it then.

The red or pink socket should be the mic jack. Good luck.

If you've plugged your mic into a mic socket on your monitor, then there must be a lead that goes from your monitor into the mic socket on the PC, otherwise the computer won't be able to hear anything.
