When does a newbie stop becoming a newbie, and become a regular? A sorta spin off of Hellfire's thread. I was just wondering. I know I'm not a newbie anymore though :)

    i don't actually think it has to do with number of posts but when someone posts, people automatically recognize that person or something like that.

    I have too many posts? Look at fiend_85. She made 3000 posts in two months! And I've actually deleted some of my comments and one of my own threads before I got that total.

    no come on, the name stargalaxy has female connotations and a picture of a star is pretty womanlike so fuck up.

    You may well know them. But how well do they know the other siters. It takes time aswell as posts IMO.

    if i was in charge of this board i would remove post counts. I see a lot of people posting crap just so their post count goes up and so they can get xyz posts and not be a "n00b" anymore. the switchover from n00b to regular siter or whatever should come from quality of posts, not quantity as some people round here think

    N00b is actually a term used towards someone who is new but is also an annoying & whining player/poster, etc.

    A newbie is just someone who is new & just tries to get along with everyone.
