Anus problem

Former MemberFormer Member Posts: 1,876,323 The Mix Honorary Guru
Everytime I have a poo I spout blood, I never really took this seriously as I presumed it may be a slight tear in my anus. I can feel a slight pain on the inside skin anyway. However, there's seems to be too much blood to be down to just a little tear and I was wondering whether at my age, 18, bowel cancer was an option? Thankyou for your time.

    Mate, GO TO THE DOCTORS!

It's probably nothing but having blood coming out every time you take a dump isn't good. How long has this been happening?

Is it actually in the poo or is it just on the toilet paper? If it's just on the toilet paper then it could be a little tear but if it's actually in your poo then it is definitely worth getting it checked out.

It's very unlikely that it is Bowel cancer but do yourself a favour and go to the doctor!

Oh no! This has been happening for many months, years even, and the blood comes out seperately (ie. not on the poo).

*cringes a little* Yikes, I really do reckon you should go to see the doctor mate. Maybe it's not as serious as bowel cancer, but you don't wanna get anaemic.

Everytime I take a dump it's very painful because of the tear. What's anaemic?

Definitely go to the docs mate. usually with something like bowel cancer the blood is actually in the poo

It's probably just a tear or maybe piles or something. Don't be worried about going to the docs - there's a lot more embarrassing things!

sounds like piles to me I wouldn't get to worried if its only a bit of blood on the toilet paper and nowhere else then its not to much of a big deal, go see the doctor anyway to get whatever it is sorted

i agree with eb, it sounds like youve got piles! easily treated with over the counter stuff, but best to get it checked out by the doctor anyway just to rule out anything more serious.

Thankyou so much people! Oh, and what's piles?
  • Former MemberFormer Member Posts: 1,876,323 The Mix Honorary Guru
piles is another name for haemmoeroids (sp?)
which is like a swollen vein in your anus.
