Did anyone see that program on Sky1 tonight? It was about how the conspicracy(sp) theorists think the world is run by a group of elite who hold an annual meeting in a private building, all the important people of the world meet at this meeting, Blair has been there before he was prime minister, Clinton before he was President, why before? To get advice from the other world leaders..it was put forward on this program that this group of elite men were pulling all the strings in the world, planning everything, the war, when it would end, who would fight in it..all a set up,it said this new world order wanted total gobilazation by 2010.

What does anyone think of this? There could be an element of truth in this whole thing, no one knows.

It's probably true, but not the destruction.

All elites want is power, and to maintain power. That is all they want.

If you want to know who really runs the world, I adbvise reading The Business by Iain Banks. 'Tis a very good book.

Read the Amazon review for it:)

Very dark and cynical, and very funny.

To the uninitiated, Iain Banks is the work by Iain Banks that atre "normal" novels. Iain M Banks is the sci-fi stuff, and I'm not a huge fan of sci-fi books.

Do buy his first book, The Wasp Factory though. Or at least get it out of the library...

I knew he did Sci-fi stuff, just never knew he had a wee M. in the middle, but I googled and it's the same chap. So shiver my timbers again. :(

    Definitely.

    It is quite deliciously sick.

    Aye, it is.

Normally you wouldn't notice the M, but it's how he's differentiated between his normal stuff and his sci-fi.

Very talented writer, in all genres. I just don't like sci-fi.

Ack, you'd have to read the Amazon blurb. I couldn't trust myself to tell you without giving away the twists at the end.

No I didn't see it, always good fun to listen to watch that kinda stuff. If your into that sort of thing then check out Above Top Secret

Apprently, when you hear people say, "the order has come from above the Presidant.", they refer to an agency called The Omega Agency. So who knows if there is a higher power so to pseak.
